THE ADVANTAGES OF STEEL ROPES FROM PLASTIC COMPRESSED STRANDS

in comparison

with the steel ropes of standard constructions:

 

the increase of durability by 30-40%;

the increase of efforts by 15-20 % due to a more complete filling of space between the wires in the strands;

more high crushing resistance thanks to the compact design of the rope, which leads to increase of service life of the rope in multilayer coiling on the drum;

the increase in the elasticity modulus due to a structural density and more uniform tension of the wires in strands, which leads to lower elongation of the rope;

the increase in the wear resistance of the wires and strands of the rope through the reduction of contact stresses with contact elements (block pulley, pulley, drum);

reduced wear of the pulleys, drums and blocks due to the increased area of contact with the supporting surface of the rope.
